StandUpBainbridgeGA expected smugness from SHM regarding the appellate court ruling.

It is just law taking its due course. It isn’t over!

What StandUpBainbridgeGA would like local citizens to understand is that we have done our research, we understand the facts – and the facts point to deception and empty promises from SHM. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that several of those  associated with SHM are under investigation by either the DOJ for animal cruelty and violations against the Clean Water Act or the Fish and Wildlife Commission for illegally importing endangered species. The proposed Monkey Farm is nothing more than a half-baked plan for a quick money grab.

Yes, PETA helped educate and bolster our local movement in the beginning. Thankfully so. The fact is, we are educated about the dangers and did the research that our industrial authority, development authority and  the city should have done from the beginning. If they had, we would NOT be where we are today. 

So, where does our very own industrial  authority and our elected officials stand on this issue? They say they are against the Monkey Farm and on the side of the citizens. However, their meetings are mired in private executive sessions, keeping the citizens in the dark. There is very little transparency and there are continued violations of the open meetings act.

StandUpBainbridgeGA is over 7K strong and we are mobilized and using our common sense intelligence, our investigative skills, the media and the law to continue to push for a positive outcome for the citizens, which is NO MONKEY FARM!!
